How to Help
Volunteer with the Washington Reading Corp
Being a reading tutor is a rewarding experience. It doesn't take a degree in English or a background in teaching. All you need is a couple of hours a week, patience, and a passion for helping others to a make a difference in a young students life.
In addition to tutoring, volunteers are also needed at Family Literacy Nights and other reading events. So even if your schedule doesn't allow for a regular commitment you can still get involved.
Tutors and event volunteers serve at a local participating Washington Reading Corps elementary school. To volunteer at the school nearest you contact us at (206) 675-BOOK or email .
